Electrical Technician – Fault Repair (Telecom)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Technician to join our fault‑repair team. You will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted power supply and cabling integrity for our field network devices across the assigned area, supporting both routine maintenance and emergency restoration.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain continuous power supply and cable health for network equipment to achieve 99.99% customer uptime.
• Inspect, service, and maintain power distribution boxes, UPS systems, power adapters, and switch enclosures following company standards.
• Provide electrical and cabling support for new node deployments, cross‑functional projects, and emergency outages.
• Respond to field wiring complaints, troubleshoot using multimeters, cable testers, and clamp meters, and resolve issues within defined turnaround times.
• Coordinate with NMS/NOC teams on power‑failure alerts and execute root‑cause analysis for recurring issues.
• Follow all electrical safety procedures, PPE requirements, and SOPs for jointing, grounding, power tapping, and cable routing.

Required profile

• ITI/Diploma in Electrical Trade, Wireman Certification, or equivalent qualification.
• Valid Electrician/Wireman license.
• 0‑5 years of hands‑on field experience in telecom, ISP, electrical utilities, or related infrastructure services.
• Basic understanding of telecom/networking infrastructure, UPS/inverter backup systems, and earthing.

Required skills

• Use of multimeter, cable tester, and clamp meter for electrical troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of power distribution boxes, UPS systems, and switch enclosures.
• Experience with grounding, jointing, and cable routing procedures.
• Familiarity with telecom equipment power requirements.
