Electrical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to maintain and improve CNC, VMC and HMC machines at our Coimbatore manufacturing plant. The role focuses on ensuring high machine availability, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance on CNC, VMC and HMC equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, PLC and control issues.
• Modify PLC ladder logic and manage machine controller parameters, backups and optimizations.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor machine health using condition monitoring and predictive maintenance techniques.
• Maintain maintenance records, KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, uptime, downtime, costs) and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Coordinate with production teams to minimise downtime and support spare‑parts inventory management.
• Assist with machine installation, commissioning, relocation and upgrades.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience maintaining CNC/VMC/HMC machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on experience with preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, able to work under pressure.

Required skills

• CNC, VMC and HMC machine maintenance.
• PLC programming and ladder‑logic modification.
• Machine controller parameter management.
• Predictive maintenance and condition monitoring.
• Maintenance KPI tracking (MTTR, MTBF, uptime).
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 standards.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint for reporting.
