Electrical Engineer – Substation (Full‑time)

About the role

The Electrical Engineer – Substation will monitor and oversee EHV/HV substation construction, installation, testing and commissioning activities from site readiness through energisation readiness, ensuring compliance and quality while the EPC contractor executes the work.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor site readiness and installation of transformers, GIS/AIS switchgear, reactors, control panels, busbars, cable and earthing systems.
• Verify compliance of installation works with approved drawings, technical specifications and project quality requirements.
• Coordinate installation interfaces with civil engineers, transmission line engineers, utility/grid coordinators, HSE teams and commissioning engineers.
• Witness factory/site acceptance tests, pre‑commissioning checks and electrical testing, and ensure readiness documentation and statutory approvals are in place.
• Track statutory approvals, grid compliance, safety procedures and prepare progress, risk and issue reports for client review.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or related discipline (Diploma with extensive substation experience may be considered).
• Strong stakeholder management, effective communication, attention to technical detail and proactive issue escalation.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary project environments with a safety and quality mindset.
