Electrical Engineer – Power System Studies

About the role

Revamp is looking for a Power Systems Engineer I/II to support utility‑scale renewable energy projects. The role involves performing a range of power system studies and design tasks for solar PV, battery energy storage, and related substation facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct grounding, short‑circuit, load‑flow, arc‑flash, protective device coordination, ampacity, harmonic and power‑quality analyses.
• Build and maintain system models for utility‑scale solar PV, BESS, and collection‑system configurations.
• Size and route medium‑voltage collection‑system cables according to design criteria.
• Prepare study reports, calculation packages, and supporting project documentation.
• Automate repetitive calculations and data‑handling tasks to improve turnaround.
• Ensure compliance with IEEE, NESC, NEC, and utility grounding standards.
• Present findings in internal meetings and support senior engineers in client and utility discussions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech.) or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Foundational understanding of power‑system concepts, especially grounding design and renewable‑energy systems.
• Experience in power distribution, generation, transmission, solar PV, or energy‑storage environments.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
