Electrical Engineer – Library (ETAP Software)

About the role

ETAP is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join its Engineering Library team in Mumbai. You will support the creation, validation, and maintenance of library models for protective devices, cables, solar and battery systems, helping customers design reliable electrical power solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop accurate library models for protective devices and equipment using manufacturer catalogues.
• Review and improve existing models based on engineering judgment, standards, and user feedback.
• Answer technical tickets and provide guidance through the help centre.
• Conduct meetings with users to resolve modelling issues and document solutions.
• Ensure all documentation follows the company’s QA policy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 2‑3 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably with exposure to protection devices, cables, solar or battery systems.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with internal teams and external users.
• Positive mindset and willingness to learn new tools.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ETAP software.
• Knowledge of protective device operating principles.
• Understanding of cable engineering, solar power, and battery systems.
• Strong grasp of electrical power system concepts.
