Electrical Engineer – Design & Troubleshooting

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, modify and troubleshoot electrical and electronic assemblies that support cutting‑edge semiconductor equipment. The role involves engineering analysis, test reporting and documentation for product releases while collaborating with suppliers and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and modify electrical/electronic assemblies, layouts, schematics and drawings of complex scope.
• Identify and troubleshoot a variety of complex electrical problems with limited supervision.
• Define, coordinate and generate engineering test reports and perform detailed analysis.
• Lead or execute engineering projects, including development of key suppliers and specification of electrical products.
• Coordinate procurement and assembly of components, source critical parts and resolve technical issues to ensure peak performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4–7 years of relevant experience in electrical design, analysis and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead small projects and work independently on complex scopes.
• Understanding of system‑level design and end‑to‑end responsibility for product development.
