Electrical Control Panel Design Engineer (EICA)

About the role

Join Armstrong Fluid Technology as an EICA Engineer, designing and supporting electrical control panels for industrial and building service applications. You will work closely with manufacturing, service, and site teams to deliver reliable, standards‑compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and engineer LT control panels including MCC, PLC, VFD, pump, HVAC and utility panels.
• Prepare electrical schematics, GA drawings, wiring diagrams and BOMs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks Electrical.
• Perform panel load calculations, short‑circuit analysis, IP‑rating selection and ensure compliance with IEC/IS standards.
• Support manufacturing teams during assembly, testing, FAT/SAT and commissioning, resolving design and wiring issues.
• Coordinate technical documentation, interface with customers, consultants and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• BE/BTech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• 4‑6 years of hands‑on experience in electrical control panel design and engineering.
• Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally internationally (10‑25%).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (Electrical) and SolidWorks Electrical.
• Electrical control panel design, load calculation and component selection.
• PLC systems, control logic and panel integration.
• Cable sizing, earthing design and protection coordination.
• Testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of control panels.
