EHS Manager – Innovation Campus

About the role

The Innovation Campus in Navi Mumbai seeks an EHS Manager to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of its Environmental, Health and Safety management system. The role translates regulatory requirements, corporate Responsible Care® principles and standards into site‑specific programs, ensuring compliance and fostering a proactive safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve site EHS standards, procedures and preventive programs aligned with legal requirements, corporate standards and Responsible Care® principles.
• Coordinate hazard identification and risk assessment activities across the campus.
• Manage the Management of Change (MoC) process to evaluate and control risks associated with organizational, process, facility, equipment and operational changes.
• Maintain statutory EHS permits, licenses and compliance records; conduct periodic compliance reviews and proactively escalate gaps.
• Plan and execute EHS assurance programs including inspections, audits, compliance assessments and management reviews; analyse performance trends and provide actionable recommendations.
• Conduct workplace exposure monitoring, risk assessments and safety inspections to drive risk‑reduction initiatives.
• Perform work permit and contractor activity inspections, communicating findings and corrective actions.
• Lead Responsible Care® implementation, support internal and external audit preparation and ensure sustained compliance.
• Partner with the Central Responsible Care team to deploy corporate EHS initiatives and best practices.
• Facilitate monthly EHS and Responsible Care® review meetings and coordinate emergency preparedness and response programs.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead development and continuous improvement of EHS management systems.
• Strong knowledge of environmental and occupational health and safety regulations and Responsible Care® principles.
• Experience managing Management of Change processes and statutory compliance documentation.
• Capability to conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments and to provide actionable recommendations.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with site leadership, contractors and central teams.
