EHS Manager – Innovation Campus (India)

About the role

The Innovation Campus in India seeks an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of its EHS management system. You will translate regulatory requirements and BASF’s Responsible Care® principles into site‑specific programs that ensure compliance, protect people and the environment, and support sustainable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve site EHS standards, procedures and preventive programs in line with legal requirements and corporate policies.
• Coordinate hazard identification and risk assessment activities across the campus.
• Manage the Management of Change (MoC) process to evaluate risks linked to organizational, process, facility and equipment changes.
• Maintain all statutory EHS permits, licenses and compliance documentation; conduct periodic compliance reviews and report gaps.
• Plan and execute EHS assurance programs, including inspections, audits, compliance assessments and management reviews.
• Monitor workplace exposures, conduct safety inspections and drive corrective actions to prevent incidents.

Required profile

• Proven experience in EHS management within an industrial or chemical environment.
• Strong knowledge of Indian environmental and occupational health & safety regulations.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Excellent analytical skills with a track record of delivering actionable recommendations.
