Editor – Steel Shop Drawings (Tekla)

About the role

JMT Consultants is seeking an experienced Editor to join its Steel team in Noida. You will be responsible for creating and editing shop, general arrangement, and single‑part drawings used by steel fabricators, ensuring compliance with project specifications and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create and edit shop, GA & single‑part drawings for steel fabrication.
• Review and interpret project and client specifications, standards, and requirements.
• Check connection design drawings for weld requirements.
• Maintain high attention to detail, ensuring drawings are well‑organized and meet JMT standards.
• Ensure fonts, spacing, dimensions, and annotations are clear and consistent.
• Incorporate review comments and continuous improvements from checkers, project managers, and clients.

Required profile

• Diploma/BTech in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Approximately 1 year of editing experience using Tekla Structures.
• Experience on US commercial projects.
• Ability to prepare shop drawings according to customer specifications.

Required skills

• Tekla Structures.
• AISC, OSHA and CISC standards.
• Preparation of shop and single‑part drawings.
• Strong ability to read and interpret design drawings.
