Ecommerce SEO Specialist

About the role

Whitecap SEO is looking for an Ecommerce SEO Specialist to help our clients—primarily Shopify and other ecommerce platforms—grow organic traffic. You will design and execute SEO strategies that improve rankings, increase visibility, and drive qualified visitors to online stores.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement SEO strategies to boost organic rankings and traffic.
• Conduct keyword research using persona, semantic, micro‑moment, competitor, and trend analysis.
• Perform on‑page optimization, including titles, meta descriptions, canonicals, URLs, internal linking, and SEO copy editing.
• Run technical audits and support SEO activities during site migrations.
• Analyze link profiles and uncover creative link‑building opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver client presentations, performance reports, and actionable recommendations.
• Manage client accounts across multiple platforms and channels, ensuring KPI achievement.

Required profile

• 2+ years of hands‑on technical SEO experience.
• Proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and major SEO tools.
• Familiarity with WordPress, Shopify, Magento, or Webflow.
• Understanding of HTML/CSS and basic programming languages (Python, R, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to communicate recommendations clearly.
• Excellent client‑relationship skills and ability to meet deadlines.
