Early Years Educator (3-6 years)

About the role

King’s College UK, Gurugram is seeking a passionate Early Years Educator to lead the learning journey of children aged 3 to 6 years. The role focuses on delivering a play‑based, inquiry‑driven curriculum that nurtures holistic development and prepares students for a smooth transition to primary education.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement a play‑based, child‑centred curriculum that promotes exploration, discovery, and critical thinking.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment supporting the holistic growth of each child.
• Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues through regular communication and collaboration.
• Assess and document student progress using observations, formative assessments, and personalized learning plans.
• Integrate movement, creative arts, and hands‑on activities into daily lessons to encourage active learning.
• Ensure seamless transition for students moving from Early Years to Primary Years.
• Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s vibrant community.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in Early Years, preferably within an IB or similar inquiry‑based setting.
• IB‑recognized teacher certificates or workshops (e.g., CAT 1) highly desirable.
• Training in Montessori, Jolly Phonics or equivalent early literacy and numeracy methodologies.
