DVA Engineer

About the role

The DVA Engineer will lead Dimensional Variation Analysis and tolerance stack‑up activities for automotive projects. Working on virtual vehicle assembly, you will translate CAD data into robust analysis models and provide actionable insights to design and manufacturing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain analysis models representing assembly processes, tolerances, and CAD data for virtual vehicle assembly.
• Perform 1D, 2D and 3D dimensional variation analysis and tolerance stack‑up calculations.
• Generate detailed reports, communicate results, issues and recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Utilise CATIA V5/V6 and Teamcenter Engineering to manage CAD data and support design for manufacturing.
• Apply variation‑analysis software such as VisVSA and 3DCS to validate component fit and function.

Required profile

• 3 to 9 years of experience in the automotive sector, preferably with body components, interior or exterior trims.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T standards (ASME) and tolerance stack‑up methodology.
• Hands‑on experience with CATIA V5/V6, Teamcenter, VisVSA or 3DCS.
• Basic understanding of kinematics, CAD, Design for Manufacturing and jigs/fixtures used in body assembly.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
