DVA Engineer – Design Validation & Assessment

About the role

The DVA Engineer is responsible for virtual design validation and assessment of body, power‑train and chassis systems using structured CAD‑based evaluations. You will work closely with design, CAE and manufacturing teams to ensure design robustness and release readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Perform CAD‑based design evaluations on CATIA V5/V6 models at component and vehicle level.
• Validate interfaces, packaging, clearances, fit & finish, and tolerance feasibility.
• Conduct rule‑based assessments and generate risk reports early in the development cycle.
• Create and maintain virtual assembly models, tolerance stack‑up analyses and variation studies using VISVSA.
• Prepare documentation and dashboards to meet ISO and quality standards.
• Communicate findings, issues and recommendations to design and test teams.

Required profile

• 6–12 years of experience as a DVA Analyst in automotive product engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with Body Engineering, Powertrain and Chassis systems.
• Proven track record of delivering design validation in the automotive sector.

Required skills

• CATIA V5/V6
• Teamcenter Engineering (TCE)
• VISVSA (variation analysis software)
• GD&T (ASME preferred) and tolerance stack‑up analysis
• 1D, 2D and 3D dimensional variation analysis
• Basic understanding of kinematics and design for manufacturing
• Knowledge of jigs & fixtures in body area (preferred)
