Dry Etch Equipment Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Semiconductor Equipment Engineer specializing in Dry Etch tools to join our high‑volume fab. The role focuses on advanced troubleshooting, rapid tool recovery, and preventive maintenance to ensure maximum equipment uptime.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic fault recovery and preventive maintenance on Dry Etch equipment.
• Monitor tool performance, respond to alarms, and address abnormal conditions.
• Support routine troubleshooting and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Document maintenance activities, faults, and corrective actions.
• Identify repeat issues and implement actions to improve MTBF.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and cleanroom protocols.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience with semiconductor Dry Etch equipment in high‑volume fabs.
• Hands‑on experience with one or more of the following tools: AMAT Super E, Lam Alliance, Lam Rainbow, Neo Ashers, LAM 4400/4500/9600.
• Proven ability to work independently and take full ownership of equipment problems.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in equipment troubleshooting and fast recovery.
• Knowledge of SPC/FDC systems, alarms, and process limits.
• Understanding of plasma, RF, vacuum, gas delivery, and related hardware subsystems.
• Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing permanent corrective actions.
• Familiarity with mainframe components such as pumps, RF generators, matching networks, ESC, and MFCs.
