Drainage / Hydrology Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Drainage / Hydrology Engineer to lead the design of stormwater systems across urban, industrial and transport projects in Bengaluru.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, model and optimise drainage solutions from catchment analysis through detailed design and GFC deliverables.
• Produce code‑compliant designs for culverts, bridges, river training works, flood protection and rainwater harvesting networks.
• Prepare high‑quality GFC drawings, technical reports, BOQs, cost estimates and tender documentation.
• Review client and contractor submissions, resolve design conflicts and ensure timely approvals.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate interdisciplinary teams to meet project schedules.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in Hydrology, Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of experience delivering end‑to‑end drainage designs for urban, highway, airport, seaport or railway projects.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage stakeholder interfaces.
• Practical exposure to site conditions and execution.

Required skills

• Hydrologic and hydraulic modelling tools: SWMM, HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS, SewerCAD/StormCAD, Civil 3D, QGIS, TUFLOW, MIKE, HY‑8.
• Rainfall‑runoff estimation methods: SCS, CWC UGH, Rational Method.
• Design standards: CWC, Indian and international codes.
• Technical reporting, BOQ preparation, cost estimation and tender documentation.
