Distribution Engineer (MBI)

About the role

The Distribution Engineer will create and review distribution system layouts and designs using specialised software, ensuring compliance with codes, standards and client requirements. The role operates under supervision of senior engineers and involves interaction with both local and US teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare distribution layouts and designs using tools such as ArcGIS, Pole Foreman, Ocalc and AUD.
• Produce reports and conduct reviews of design submissions, providing detailed feedback.
• Participate in technical meetings with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure all work follows the company’s quality system procedures.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in electrical or civil engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
• Prior exposure to transmission and distribution projects is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• ArcGIS, Pole Foreman, Ocalc, AUD.
• MS Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Google Earth.
• Knowledge of overhead construction methods, distribution equipment, easements and right‑of‑way permitting.
• Familiarity with design codes and standards such as NESC, IEC, CSA, IEEE, ANSI, IBC, ASCE 7, AISC and ACI 318.
