Director of Revenue – Hotel

About the role

The Director of Revenue leads the strategic planning process for the hotel, working with all profit‑generation teams to identify and implement incremental revenue opportunities across rooms, food & beverage, spa and other streams. This senior role drives a Total Hotel Profit Optimization vision, fosters a revenue management culture and ensures data‑driven decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and collaborate with profit‑generation teams to drive incremental profit for rooms, restaurants, spas and other revenue streams.
• Communicate a compelling Total Hotel Profit Optimization vision and teach revenue management concepts across the property.
• Create short‑ and long‑term forecasts, set pricing and yielding tactics, and drive the annual budgeting process.
• Monitor economic, market and competitive indicators to shape profit‑generation strategies and chair weekly revenue management meetings.
• Manage inventory, rates, stay restrictions and channel distribution strategies to maximize room revenue and target the most profitable customer segments.
• Oversee all core revenue management technologies (RMS, CRS, rate‑shopping systems), ensuring data quality and optimal utilization.
• Partner with Marketing to execute digital campaigns, manage OTA/CTO relationships and maintain up‑to‑date extranet content.
• Mentor and develop the revenue management team, including the Revenue Manager, Assistant DRM and Revenue Analyst.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional appearance.
• Dynamic, can‑do attitude and strong analytical attention to detail.
• Proven reservation experience, preferably with hotel systems.
• Experience with Ideas G3 RMS, Opera PMS, Passkey, Delphi or Opera Sales & Catering.
• Highly organized, able to multitask, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
