Director of Human Resources – Hotel

About the role

We are seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead HR functions for the upcoming Taj Exotica Resort & Spa in Bengaluru. The role will coordinate with the HR team, drive employee morale, learning, and align HR processes with corporate standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate HR processes as defined by corporate and the unit, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
• Develop a high‑morale work environment, promote continuous learning, and act on employee feedback.
• Design systems and procedures that improve cost efficiency and employee satisfaction.
• Oversee recruitment, performance appraisal, and staff management for the hotel.
• Implement the annual plan using the TBEM framework, linking HR objectives to overall strategy.
• Monitor in‑house training programs and maintain the Tata Code of Conduct and leadership standards.
• Manage payroll, HRMS administration, and generate monthly HR reports per corporate standards.
• Ensure statutory compliance, conduct town‑hall meetings, and liaise with government agencies and staff welfare unions.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading HR functions in the hospitality sector.
• Strong knowledge of corporate HR policies, statutory compliance, and employee relations.
• Ability to develop cost‑effective HR systems and drive employee engagement.
• Experience with recruitment, performance management, and training coordination.
• Excellent coordination skills with internal teams and external agencies.
