Director, Market and Liquidity Risk

About the role

BNY is looking for a Director to lead its Market and Liquidity Risk function within the Treasury Risk team. Based in Pune, you will provide independent oversight of liquidity risk, work closely with corporate treasury and finance partners, and drive innovative risk‑management solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead independent review and challenge of liquidity risk management, aligning with the firm’s risk appetite.
• Collaborate with Corporate Treasury, Finance, business units and other risk teams to develop risk‑mitigation solutions.
• Design, calibrate and maintain liquidity risk frameworks, limits and governance processes.
• Build new tools and automated processes leveraging AI and technology to enhance risk measurement and monitoring.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to senior leadership on risk analysis, metric changes and strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, economics or related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (FRM, CFA) preferred.
• 10‑15 years of experience in liquidity risk or related financial risk roles within banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of liquidity and treasury risk activities, including funding, cash‑flow projection, deposit modeling, liquidity metrics and stress testing.
• Proven ability to build and maintain risk frameworks, work cross‑functionally and guide teams to ensure consistent implementation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience creating professional presentations.
