Director - HR - Research and Consulting

About the role

This senior HR Business Partner position supports the India ratings and consulting business of a leading financial services organisation. The role will shape HR strategy, drive talent initiatives and ensure compliance across the rating agency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead talent acquisition, retention and succession planning.
• Oversee employee engagement, performance management and development programmes.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies, internal standards and labour laws.
• Manage and mentor the HR team to achieve operational results.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on workforce planning and organisational design.
• Drive diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
• Address HR‑related issues and provide effective solutions.

Required profile

• Strong background in human resources, preferably within the financial services sector.
• Proven experience in HR leadership roles, ideally in a rating agency environment.
• In‑depth knowledge of HR policies, labour legislation and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated expertise in talent management and employee engagement.
• Ability to work closely with senior leadership and influence strategic decisions.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
