Director - Financial Reporting (Record-to-Report)

About the role

This position is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting while ensuring the integrity of the books, strong controls, and effective financial governance. The role bridges transactional accounting and financial reporting, supporting both statutory and management reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial, statutory, internal, and regulatory audits for multiple entities.
• Maintain balance‑sheet integrity through regular review and substantiation.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements on schedule.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and draft technical accounting whitepapers.
• Act as primary liaison for FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Business teams.
• Drive resolution of audit observations, control gaps, and recurring issues.
• Document processes, controls, and accounting policies robustly.
• Manage intercompany accounting, key reconciliations, and eliminations.
• Support group consolidation of multiple worldwide entities.
• Identify opportunities to standardize, simplify, and automate Record‑to‑Report processes.
• Assist with ERP upgrades or system migrations, particularly NetSuite.
• Partner with upstream P2P and O2C teams to resolve data or process issues affecting reporting.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant or CPA with 8–10+ years in public accounting, financial reporting, accounting, or controllership.
• Strong understanding of end‑to‑end Record‑to‑Report and financial reporting processes.
• Experience in technology, payments, financial services, or fintech environments preferred.
• Background in multinational, multi‑entity settings and exposure to audits and regulatory reporting.
• High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
