Director Finance – Accounting

About the role

We are hiring a Director – Accounting for a private‑equity‑backed, high‑growth global technology company. Based in Gurugram and reporting to the Global CFO, this senior, hands‑on finance leader will own global financial reporting, drive multi‑entity controllership and support a fast‑scaling, M&A‑active environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy, timeliness and integrity of consolidated financial statements prepared under US GAAP.
• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes across all entities and geographies.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors and manage the full audit cycle.
• Design, implement and continuously improve internal controls, accounting policies and procedures.
• Own and optimise NetSuite ERP, including chart of accounts design, workflow automation and reporting configuration.
• Partner with private‑equity sponsors on board packages, covenant compliance and portfolio‑level reporting.
• Lead accounting workstreams for M&A transactions, including due diligence, purchase accounting and post‑close integration.
• Oversee accounting operations across the US, EU, APAC and India, handling multi‑currency consolidation and transfer‑pricing considerations.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA, with 12+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Significant experience in a Controller, VP or Director‑level role.
• Deep technical expertise in US GAAP and hands‑on experience preparing GAAP‑compliant statements.
• Proven track record with NetSuite implementation, administration and advanced usage.
• Prior experience in a PE‑backed company, including sponsor reporting and board‑level deliverables.
• Demonstrated M&A experience covering due diligence, purchase accounting and integration.
• Willingness to be based in or relocate to Gurugram.
