Director, Analog Design

About the role

Renesas is seeking a Director of Analog Design to lead its Power Design Team within the leading power management product line. The role focuses on next‑generation IC products for consumer, industrial and automotive applications.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Product Line Manager to prioritize short‑term execution and long‑term strategy.
• Synthesize technical goals from business strategy and define design IP, process technology, and packaging requirements.
• Identify and adopt tools and methodologies to improve development time and product quality.
• Work with cross‑functional groups to integrate new capabilities into the design process.
• Direct the IC design and verification team to meet cost, performance, and time‑to‑market targets.
• Grow the design organization by recruiting top talent aligned with the product roadmap.
• Share IP, resources, methodologies, and knowledge across the broader design community.
• Engage with customers to understand application needs and system‑level solutions.

Required profile

• BSEE (MSEE preferred) with 20+ years of industry experience in design engineering.
• At least 10 years of management experience.
• Strong background in power management design and a proven record of delivering commercially successful power IC products.
• Experience building, retaining, and leading a global design team.
• Excellent communication skills and broad technical expertise.
