Direct Tax Executive / Manager (Chembur, Mumbai)

About the role

We are an established Chartered Accountants firm with a legacy since 1983, seeking a skilled Direct Tax Executive/Manager to join our Chembur office. The role involves handling a diverse portfolio of corporate, firm and individual clients, ensuring compliance with Indian income tax regulations and providing strategic tax advice.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file Income Tax Returns for corporates, firms and individuals.
• Conduct tax audits and maintain audit documentation.
• Compute Advance Tax, MAT and Deferred Tax liabilities.
• Draft replies to notices, scrutiny assessments and appeals.
• Support tax litigation and provide client advisory services.
• Manage direct tax compliance and planning for multiple clients.
• Stay updated on changes in Income Tax laws.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in Direct Tax.
• Qualified CA or Semi‑Qualified CA.
• Strong knowledge of the Income Tax Act and related compliances.
• Experience handling assessments, notices and drafting responses.
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with tax preparation software.
