Direct Tax Associate – CA Freshers

About the role

Capgemini is looking for a motivated Chartered Accountant (CA) fresh graduate to join its Direct Tax team. You will support tax litigation and appeals across India, working closely with external consultants, legal counsels and internal finance stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and assist external consultants and legal counsels for appeals at CIT (A), DRP, ITAT, High Court and Supreme Court.
• Conduct issue‑based research and analysis for ongoing and past tax litigations.
• Provide real‑time updates on direct tax law, circulars, notifications, case laws and articles to the internal team and management.
• Prepare and file appeals, written submissions and paper books with revenue authorities within defined timelines.
• File and avail orders, effect rectifications with the revenue department.
• Track all tax litigations for Capgemini’s India entities.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Direct Tax Laws, Transfer Pricing and the latest Income Tax Act and Rules.
• Up‑to‑date understanding of relevant case laws.
• Excellent writing, presentation and communication abilities.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently with consultants, lawyers and finance teams.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
