DevOps Platform Operations Engineer (SME)

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Platform Operations Engineer to join Bosch's Global Software Technologies team in Coimbatore. You will be responsible for configuring Linux‑based applications, building Docker containers, and managing Kubernetes clusters to support our manufacturing IT landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Configure Linux applications, create and maintain Docker images, and manage Kubernetes cluster configurations.
• Perform application deployments, version upgrades, and patching using GitOps practices (ArgoCD, Helm).
• Monitor, log, and alert on Docker applications running on Kubernetes, and troubleshoot networking issues such as subnets, DNS, and FQDN.
• Provide L1/L2 support, handle user service requests, and create service tickets to meet SLA commitments.
• Collaborate on incident resolution for Manufacturing IT applications and infrastructure.
• Ensure service delivery aligns with defined KPIs and ITIL processes.

Required profile

• B.E/B.Tech, M.Tech or MCA degree.
• 4–8 years of experience in system administration and DevOps.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and ownership mindset.

Required skills

• Linux and Windows system administration.
• Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher.
• Helm charts, ArgoCD (GitOps).
• Networking fundamentals: subnet, DNS, FQDN, IP networking, Kubernetes ingress and load balancing.
• CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, Docker registry, GitHub Actions, Artifactory.
• Monitoring, logging and alerting platforms.
• ITIL Service Management (Incident, Change, Problem Management).
