DevOps Engineer – II

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and production services. You will own the reliability of our Helpshift platform, ensure zero‑downtime migrations, and embed security throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Build and operate secure CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, configuration, and testing.
• Own Helpshift production services, provide full monitoring coverage, and resolve production incidents.
• Design zero‑downtime upgrade processes for core infrastructure components such as ScyllaDB, Elasticsearch, Kafka, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Migrate infrastructure across regions and cloud providers without service interruption.
• Integrate security practices, conduct vulnerability assessments, and perform penetration testing.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code templates (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform) for secure cloud provisioning.
• Monitor, investigate, contain, and remediate production issues.
• Mentor junior team members and promote a culture of automation and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong expertise with Unix‑like systems (Ubuntu) and networking protocols.
• Deep understanding of security architectures, IAM, and container hardening.
• Proven ability to design highly scalable, fault‑tolerant, cost‑effective solutions.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills.
