DevOps Engineer – Cloud & Kafka Infrastructure

About the role

Join Airbus India’s Industrial Digital Solutions team as a DevOps Engineer, responsible for building and maintaining a highly available, secure, and cost‑effective cloud platform that powers real‑time data streaming services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage scalable AWS infrastructure (EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, etc.).
• Containerize and orchestrate Kafka‑based micro‑services using Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift.
• Automate provisioning, scaling and patching with Ansible and Terraform (IaC).
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI and Jenkins for automated builds, tests and deployments.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting for the Kafka ecosystem with Prometheus, Grafana and Splunk.
• Optimize performance and control AWS costs through continuous tuning.
• Enforce security best practices – RBAC, ACLs, TLS/SSL, secret management.
• Collaborate with software, data engineers and architects to integrate Kafka into enterprise applications.

Required profile

• 4+ years of DevOps and cloud infrastructure experience, including at least 2 years with Jenkins/EKS pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience designing, operating and securing AWS environments.
• Strong background in Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift for both stateless and stateful workloads.
• Proficiency in Ansible playbooks and Terraform modules.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, SonarQube) and scripting in Python or Bash.
• Advanced Linux/Unix system administration, networking and troubleshooting, especially within AWS VPC and sub‑nets.
