Developer Community Manager

About the role

This position offers the chance to build and lead a developer community from the ground up within a fast‑growing technology environment. You will shape the community strategy, establish its culture, and create programs that help developers connect, learn, and succeed.

Key responsibilities

• Build, launch and grow an engaged developer community, defining its culture, governance and long‑term programs.
• Serve as the primary community voice, responding to questions, facilitating discussions and maintaining authentic relationships.
• Moderate community channels, enforce guidelines, manage escalations and ensure a safe, inclusive environment.
• Drive engagement through office hours, AMAs, challenges, hackathons and other interactive events.
• Develop and manage a content calendar, coordinating technical and educational content with internal contributors.
• Identify emerging contributors and connect them with advocacy and recognition initiatives.
• Design gamification, badging and recognition programs to celebrate participation.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and marketing teams to create tutorials, guides and use‑case resources.
• Capture community feedback and translate it into actionable insights for internal teams.
• Monitor community health metrics and use data to continuously improve programs.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in developer relations, advocacy, community management or a related field.
• Proven track record of launching a developer community, generating early engagement and scaling membership.
• Experience creating governance, moderation, content and engagement programs.
• Strong ability to work cross‑functionally with product, engineering, marketing and customer success teams.
