Desktop Support Technician

About the role

The Desktop Support Technician provides on‑site and remote assistance to end‑users, ensuring that desktops, laptops, mobile devices and related peripherals operate smoothly. This role is central to maintaining the office’s IT infrastructure and supporting daily business activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site support for Windows, macOS, Linux computers, mobile devices, printers and other peripherals.
• Provision, deploy, replace and decommission IT equipment, including imaging and asset tracking.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity and user‑related issues, escalating to Level 2 when required.
• Maintain office IT services such as network connectivity, printing, voice, AV and workplace technologies.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot switches, routers, access points and related network equipment.
• Conduct inventory audits, manage hardware assets and ensure compliance with asset‑management policies.
• Support office moves, hardware refreshes, equipment relocations and technology deployments for events.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting Windows, macOS, Linux, mobile devices and printers.
• Basic networking knowledge (LAN, Wi‑Fi, switches, routers, access points).
• Experience with hardware asset management and inventory control.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with remote support teams and vendors.
