Desktop Support Technician

About the role

The Desktop Support Technician provides on‑premise IT assistance to end users and office infrastructure at Ericsson sites. You will troubleshoot a wide range of hardware and software issues, manage corporate devices, and ensure smooth operation of networking and smart‑office equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, mobile phone, and peripheral problems on Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms.
• Provision, de‑provision, image, and replace corporate devices following Ericsson processes.
• Install, test, and maintain basic network equipment such as switches, routers, access points, and handle Wi‑Fi/LAN connectivity issues.
• Support office infrastructure services including printing, voice, smart metering, digital signage, AV equipment, and PABX in coordination with Level 2 teams.
• Manage hardware assets: receive, tag, register, audit, and securely store devices; perform device wiping and arrange disposal.
• Coordinate with vendors, local service providers, and third‑party partners for repairs, replacements, and data‑room access.
• Document incidents, maintain accurate records, and assist during audits and compliance activities.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with desktop and peripheral troubleshooting in an office environment.
• Familiarity with corporate device lifecycle processes (provisioning, imaging, de‑provisioning).
• Ability to work closely with Level 2 support teams and external vendors.
• Strong attention to detail for asset management and compliance documentation.
