Desktop Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team. You will provide technical assistance for hardware, software and network issues, ensuring that end‑users can work efficiently with their desktops, laptops and peripherals.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain operating systems on laptops and desktops.
• Set up and troubleshoot CCTV systems.
• Manage tickets through the Service Request portal.
• Configure devices according to standardisation policies.
• Troubleshoot software, hardware and peripheral problems.
• Deploy and configure a range of software applications.
• Handle IMAC processes for device allocation and de‑allocation.
• Provide network troubleshooting and support, including IP and VLAN configuration.
• Install and configure email clients.
• Recover user data when required.
• Deploy anti‑virus solutions and manage OS patching.
• Coordinate hardware repairs with vendors.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a desktop support or similar role.
• Strong hardware troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in software installation and network troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with operating system troubleshooting and remote desktop support.
• Experience with Active Directory is a plus.
