Desktop Support Engineer

About the role

Coforge is looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to deliver end‑user IT assistance, VIP support, and audio‑visual services for corporate events. The role involves maintaining hardware, software and network environments for senior leadership and ensuring smooth technology operations across office locations and event venues.

Key responsibilities

• Provide dedicated, high‑touch IT support to VIP users such as Directors, VPs, MDs, CXOs and CIO‑level stakeholders.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners and other peripherals.
• Resolve hardware, software, networking and mobility issues on Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365 platforms.
• Log, track and close incidents using ITSM/ticketing tools while meeting SLA commitments.
• Set up and troubleshoot audio‑visual equipment for medium to large‑scale events, including projectors, video‑conferencing systems, microphones and speakers.
• Support collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom and WebEx.
• Maintain inventory of IT assets, track allocations, warranty status and ensure compliance with security policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in desktop and end‑user support.
• Proven experience supporting executive and VIP users.
• Hands‑on experience with audio‑visual conferencing and meeting‑room technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Windows 10/11 operating systems
• Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, etc.)
• Active Directory basics (user account management, password resets)
• Ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, Jira Service Management or ManageEngine
• Fundamental networking concepts and VPN usage
• Audio‑visual equipment setup and troubleshooting (projectors, video‑conferencing, microphones)
• Collaboration platforms: Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx
