Designer – Lighting & Shade Solutions

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Designer to lead complex operational and project‑driven activities within our CPS function. The role bridges execution teams and leadership, driving service excellence, process improvements and operational efficiency in lighting and shade solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end customer projects, designs, quotations and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Oversee day‑to‑day execution of team members, ensuring high accuracy and fast turnaround.
• Supervise a sizable group, drive service metrics (quality and service levels) and lead continuous‑improvement efforts.
• Lead training, onboarding and capability‑building for new and existing staff.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with sales, project managers and stakeholders to deliver high‑quality outcomes.
• Create and maintain performance reports and dashboards.
• Prepare lighting and shade design estimations using design software and AutoCAD, generate BOMs, submittal packages, wiring diagrams and specification cut‑sheets.
• Produce official quotations, change orders and coordinate with internal project teams, field service engineers, sales and customer service.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering discipline, preferably electrical, electronics or instrumentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret construction documents.
• Hands‑on experience with AutoCAD or similar design tools; lighting design experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ownership mindset with ability to balance execution and mentoring.
