Design Manager – Architecture

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Design Manager – Architecture to lead the architectural design of pharmaceutical and life‑science facilities. The role combines client interaction, concept development, and technical oversight to turn complex requirements into compliant, functional designs.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with clients to capture needs and present concept layout and site master‑plan options.
• Develop architectural narratives, flow diagrams, schedules, and room data sheets.
• Implement cGMP requirements and support permitting, tender, and specification preparation.
• Ensure all work follows Jacobs technical policies, client standards, and relevant engineering procedures.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and industrial regulatory bodies (e.g., MIDC, KSIIC, HSIIDC).

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture recognised by the Council of Architecture.
• At least 16 years of experience in architectural design of pharmaceutical/life‑science facilities.
• Licensed Architect (AIA) with deep knowledge of building codes and specifications.
• Proven ability to learn and adapt to new facility types and regulatory environments.
