Design Engineer – Mechanical Seals & Dry Gas Systems

About the role

EagleBurgmann, a global leader in industrial sealing technology, is looking for a Design Engineer to develop and coordinate Dry Gas Seal (DGS) products and related support systems. You will work on creating detailed designs, drawings, and bills of material that meet internal standards and customer requirements, ensuring high‑quality output for manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary top‑assembly drafts, detailed drawings, manufacturing drawings and bills of material.
• Perform engineering calculations for DGS components and execute model and drawing revisions.
• Participate in design and process‑improvement initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with quality monitoring standards and internal procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience designing mechanical equipment with manufacturing interfaces, especially rotating equipment such as mechanical seals, dry‑gas seals, pumps and compressors.
• Familiarity with API, DIN and ISO standards relevant to GD&T.

Required skills

• Mechanical Engineering fundamentals (machine design, material science, manufacturing technology).
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and Solid Edge CAD software.
• Knowledge of API standards (e.g., API 692) and DIN/ISO standards.
• Experience with rotating equipment design, including mechanical seals and dry‑gas seal systems.
