Design Engineer (Industrial Valves)

About the role

The Design Engineer will join CIRCOR's Industrial Valves ETO engineering team in Coimbatore, India. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will create 3D CAD models, 2D drawings and Bills of Materials for valve projects, collaborating with cross‑functional teams in a concurrent engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 3D SolidWorks models, 2D drafting and complete BOMs for engineered‑to‑order valve projects.
• Maintain and update engineering drawings to current standards and ERP guidelines.
• Perform tolerance stack‑ups, fits, clearances and basic stress, strain and flow calculations.
• Support manufacturing, quality, procurement and project management to ensure designs are manufacturable, inspectable and cost‑effective.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, Kaizen events and lead‑time reduction activities.
• Travel as required to support suppliers or project sites.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of component design, GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and cost‑effective engineering practices.
• Hands‑on experience with standard manufacturing processes such as machining, casting and welding.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English; basic German is a plus.
• Ability to manage drawing changes and documentation in an ERP environment.
