Design Engineer - Drafting

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer with a passion for drafting to join our dynamic team in Kochi. The role focuses on mechanical design, pre‑sales detailing, and delivering complete project solutions for architectural metal works.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end production of shop drawings, erection drawings, BOMs, cutting lists, and laser/machine files.
• Manage and optimize the use of 3D modeling and 2D CAD software across the department.
• Establish and enforce drafting standards, templates, and quality‑control procedures to ensure zero‑defect releases to the fabrication floor.
• Translate complex engineering concepts between pre‑sales, detailing teams, and fabricators.
• Apply expert knowledge of structural steel and architectural metal fabrication techniques, welding processes, and joinery.

Required profile

• 5+ years of progressive experience in architectural metal works or structural drafting.
• Minimum 2 years in a team‑lead or managerial capacity.
• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
• Strong expertise in mechanical design, pre‑sales detailing, and project solutioning.
