Design Engineer – Aftermarket Wet Process (Flotation, Thickening & Filtration)

About the role

Join a multicultural Aftermarket Engineering team focused on flotation, thickening and filtration equipment for the mining industry. You will provide technical support for spare parts, modernization projects, and legacy product challenges, ensuring solutions are cost‑effective and meet customer timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and understand technical drawings.
• Use AutoCAD, SolidWorks and other CAD tools to create layout, design and manufacturing drawings.
• Ensure design accuracy by adhering to industry standards and client specifications.
• Identify potential design issues and propose improvements.
• Modify existing designs based on feedback or new requirements.
• Maintain and organize design files and CAD libraries.
• Develop recommended spare‑parts lists for flotation, thickening and filtration equipment.
• Assist with parts identification, legacy vault uplift, and resolution of non‑conformance reports.
• Stay updated on the latest CAD software and industry advancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum three years of experience in equipment design or a similar role.
• Previous product‑design experience preferred.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD and PLM systems such as Enovia.
• Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals, design tools and the MS Office suite.
