Design and Development Engineer (Heavy‑Duty Machinery)

About the role

The Design and Development Engineer will join Maxin India’s R&D team in Coimbatore, working on heavy‑duty shredding machines. The role combines mechanical design, prototyping and testing to turn customer requirements into reliable industrial equipment. It is a full‑time hybrid position with regular on‑site collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Create 3D models and detailed engineering drawings for shredders and components.
• Perform design calculations for rotating and structural parts.
• Support prototype build, material trials and testing of new concepts.
• Coordinate with production, quality and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability.
• Document design changes and contribute to continuous improvement of existing products.
• Participate in reliability, safety and performance validation activities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance product efficiency and durability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong foundation in machine and product design for industrial equipment.
• Experience in testing, validation and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
• Background in R&D, concept development and iterative product improvement.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, material selection and tolerance standards for heavy‑duty machinery.
• Ability to work safely and follow quality standards.
