Derivatives Operations Manager

About the role

The Derivatives Operations Manager leads the OTC trade processing team within Global Process Delivery, ensuring accurate trade capture and valuation. Reporting to senior management, the role combines people leadership, process improvement and client service responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure team carries out basic and complex trade and valuation in accordance with established procedures.
• Manage daily service delivery and escalation of OTC trade processing issues.
• Plan and manage daily operations, resource planning and staff development initiatives.
• Report in‑scope transactions within client and repository deadlines and manage exceptions.
• Lead continuous‑improvement forums and drive process enhancements.
• Support client/internal projects such as new fund implementations and system migrations.

Required profile

• 9+ years experience in financial services, preferably in back/middle‑office operations.
• Minimum 2 years experience managing a team in derivatives trade processing.
• Strong analytical, leadership and negotiation skills with a proven record of efficiency creation.
• Flexibility to work shifts and ability to manage change.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Visual Basic, macros and database management systems.
• Deep understanding of OTC derivatives, valuation and regulatory frameworks.
