Deputy/Head Treasury

About the role

Vedanta Aluminium, a leading producer of aluminium and value‑added products in India, is seeking a dynamic professional to lead its treasury function at the Jharsuguda plant. The Deputy/Head of Treasury will be responsible for ensuring liquidity, managing financial risks and aligning treasury strategies with the company’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee treasury operations, ensuring adequate liquidity, managing risks and optimizing financial resources.
• Formulate short‑term and long‑term treasury strategies to maximize liquidity and efficient use of capital.
• Understand key business drivers and leverage them to identify and capture new business opportunities.
• Optimize cash management practices, including banking strategies, cash pooling and payment processes.
• Develop and communicate a long‑term treasury vision aligned with overall business goals and group objectives.
• Monitor and report on the performance of investment portfolios and other financial assets.

Required profile

• MBA, CA or CWA with 8‑10 years of relevant experience.
• Background in treasury functions is preferred.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities, with capacity to handle multiple priorities.
• Proven competence in managing internal and external stakeholders under pressure.
