Deputy Manager – Legal Advisor

About the role

This position provides essential support to the Legal Team, reporting to the Legal Manager, Regulatory and Litigation. It offers the chance to work cross‑functionally with stakeholders, business partners and external counsel, focusing on group litigation defence and regulatory investigations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage critical tasks and workflows for ongoing litigation and regulatory matters.
• Coordinate and prioritise work across the team to meet deadlines.
• Track project timelines, milestones and deadlines as the central point of contact.
• Implement and maintain project‑management tools to improve efficiency.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and escalate issues to the Legal Manager.
• Prepare status updates, progress reports and executive briefings.
• Review legal documents and produce concise summaries.
• Conduct legal research to support litigation and regulatory matters.
• Assist with budget tracking and financial monitoring for legal activities.
• Liaise with external counsel and coordinate team inputs for senior‑management reporting.
• Provide meeting preparation and general administrative support to the Legal Team.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with a degree‑level education.
• Junior‑level experience, preferably with exposure to litigation or contentious matters.
• Strong drafting, analytical and negotiation abilities.
• Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
• Comfortable working remotely and managing competing priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Resilient, able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
