About the role
Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Deputy Engineer to join its manufacturing team. This position is based on‑site and involves supporting engineering activities that drive the production of heavy equipment. The role contributes to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of processes that ensure product quality and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers in planning, designing, and executing manufacturing projects.
- Perform technical analyses, data collection, and reporting to support decision‑making.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve engineering issues on the shop floor.
- Participate in the development and validation of new equipment and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Required profile
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret technical data.
- Effective communication skills for teamwork and documentation.
- Willingness to work on‑site five days a week and relocate if needed.
