Deputy Director, Electrical Engineering

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a dynamic Deputy Director of Electrical Engineering to lead its Bangalore team. The role partners with Business Unit leaders to define project scope, technical strategy, and execution excellence, while strengthening the India Electrical Engineering group.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with BU leaders and senior engineering stakeholders to define project scope, priorities, and technical direction.
• Provide broad‑based leadership across design and manufacturing, ensuring robust and scalable engineering solutions.
• Lead complex technical problem‑solving initiatives across cross‑functional teams.
• Strengthen collaboration between engineering teams, business units, and global stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
• Build, mentor, and lead high‑performing engineering teams, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of electrical engineering experience with proven people‑management success.
• Demonstrated ability to work with global stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
