Deputy Designer – CAD/BIM – Reinforced Concrete Detailing

About the role

AECOM’s Enterprise Capabilities team is seeking a Deputy Designer specialized in CAD/BIM and reinforced concrete detailing to join its Gurugram office. The role supports global projects by producing accurate reinforcement drawings and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed reinforcement drawings for concrete structures in accordance with BS/Euro codes.
• Produce high‑quality drawings using Cads RC, AutoCAD and Microstation.
• Create and modify 3D models in Revit, including the use of reinforcement add‑ons.
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure drawings meet design requirements and specifications.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to avoid clashes and ensure constructability.
• Generate bar bending schedules, detailing reports and related documentation.
• Review and check drawings for accuracy, completeness and code compliance.
• Stay current with industry standards and best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years experience in reinforced concrete detailing, preferably with exposure to UK standards.
• In‑depth knowledge of BS/Euro codes for concrete design.
• Proficiency in Cads RC, AutoCAD and Microstation.
• Strong understanding of Revit basics and ability to detail reinforcement in 3D.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems.
