Demo Engineer – Presales Solutions Consulting

About the role

Appian is looking for a Demo Engineer to join its SPEAR (Strategic Presales Execution and Readiness) team in Chennai. You will be the technical backbone that transforms one‑off sales demos into a polished, reusable library that powers hundreds of global sales engagements each year.

Key responsibilities

• Capture, de‑brand, and ingest product demos into DemoHub, ensuring they are organized, tagged, and reusable.
• Refresh and extend existing demos with the latest Appian features and GTM narratives.
• Develop and maintain the DemoHub application, adding new features, fixing bugs, and improving usability.
• Produce clickable demos on third‑party platforms and create supporting artifacts such as walkthrough videos, scripts, and quick‑reference guides.
• Collaborate with Solutions Consultants worldwide and other presales stakeholders to align demo assets with current priorities.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Appian or a comparable low‑code application development platform.
• Excellent technical and programming skills with a proven track record of delivering polished work.
• Detail‑oriented, highly organized, and able to prioritize a high‑volume pipeline.
• Effective communicator comfortable working across time zones and with global teams.
• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Math, Physics, or equivalent experience.

Required skills

• Appian (or similar low‑code platform) development and debugging.
• Familiarity with interactive demo platforms such as Storylane, Reprise, Navattic, Walnut.
• Experience with video recording and editing tools for walkthrough content.
