Demand Planning & SIOP Leader

About the role

The Demand Planning & SIOP Leader will drive FLSmidth’s global demand planning and integrated business planning (SIOP) processes. This senior position ensures forecast accuracy, aligns production with sales, and supports customer delivery across the mining capital equipment business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead a data‑driven global SIOP framework, partnering with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance.
• Own the monthly SIOP cycle, facilitate consensus among commercial, operational and financial stakeholders, and present key metrics to executives.
• Implement and manage forecasting tools, digital dashboards and analytics to improve forecast accuracy and bias.
• Integrate capacity planning, production scheduling and resource planning into the demand plan and align it with the company’s budget and long‑term financial forecasts.
• Build and lead a high‑performing global demand planning team, fostering a culture of transparency and cross‑functional collaboration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in demand planning, SIOP or supply chain management within capital equipment or heavy industrial manufacturing, preferably in a project‑based environment.
• Proven track record of implementing SIOP/IBP processes across complex, engineered‑to‑order operations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced planning/forecasting tools such as Kinaxis, O9 or equivalent.
• Experience deploying digital planning tools, dashboards and analytics for end‑to‑end visibility.
