Demand Planning Professional (SCM Specialist)

About the role

The Demand Planning Professional will lead material forecasting and supply chain coordination for the full financial year. You will work closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure timely sourcing, inventory accuracy, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast material requirements for the entire financial year and provide inputs for annual negotiations.
• Deliver material forecasts to domestic and international suppliers and create purchase orders based on demand.
• Coordinate with air and sea freight forwarders and internal customs teams to ensure smooth clearance and regulatory compliance.
• Source direct and indirect materials promptly and project raw‑material inventory on a monthly basis.
• Maintain inventory levels according to defined stock targets and monitor physical inventory cycles.
• Track and manage NCC materials for return or re‑sourcing.
• Implement warehousing concepts that add value to supply chain operations.
• Support KPI and productivity measurement initiatives.
• Approve transportation invoices in line with frame agreements.
• Maintain SAP MRP data and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet project timelines.
• Evaluate supplier performance on a monthly and annual basis.
• Drive value‑stream creation and digitisation of forecasting and supplier interfaces.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of supply chain experience, including work with international suppliers.
• Strong knowledge of material management, inventory management, and freight forwarding processes.
• Understanding of tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements related to customs and container handling.
• Proven track record of digitalisation initiatives in forecasting or supplier integration.
